Q1. What is Project Hosting?

Project Hosting is an online project management service for construction professionals. It provides a common, project wide extranet platform to facilitate improved communications, efficient data sharing and delivery along with interactive project management tools. By automating many project critical tasks, Project Hosting is designed to streamline the end-to end management of construction projects and hence have a valuable impact on quality, project delivery and in time and cost savings.

Q2. How do I get started?

Its very simple. Firstly, go to www.vhbuild.com or contact us directly to find out how to subscribe for the service.

Q3. What are the initial hardware set up costs?

There are no initial hardware set up costs. Because VHBuild provides the host server space, the only requirement of the end-user is for an internet connection. However we do have a recommended set of minimum operational parameters.

Q4. How much does it cost?

Charges will be incurred on a per month per company per project basis. The basic service charge includes a nominal amount of free server storage space along with supporting unlimited users. Over and above the storage space provided, charges will increase incrementally in relation to storage space utilised. (Refer Pricing)

Q5. Am I limited by storage space?

There is no limitation to storage space, however the costs of the service increases accordingly (Refer Q4)

Q6. How many projects can I host at the same time?

VHBuild allows organisations to manage multiple projects under a single corporate account with no limitation to the number of projects hosted at any one time. However, the service is charged per project and costs increase accordingly (Refer Q4)

Q7. How are the service charges paid?

Payment can be made using traditional offline methods such as cheque or credit order. For further details on payment methods, please contact us at customer@vhbuild.com

Q8. Who is responsible for administering the account and maintaining the project workplace?

The individual who initially sets up the account, the Account Administrator, is responsible for maintaining the corporate account and creating company users and projects. The administration of individual project can be designated to specified Project Administrators. The Account Administrator may also wish to select themselves as the Project Administrator as well.

Q9. Is there a minimum operation period?

No. The service is charged on a monthly ASP "rental" basis with no obligation to subscribe for a minimum fixed period of operation.

Q10. Do I have back-up support if problems are encountered?

VHBuild will provide a comprehensive customer service/technical support team for online and telephone assistance along with offline site support.

Q11. Will I require a dedicated broadband connection or will my existing 56K modem dial up connection be sufficient?

Although the usage of the service is not limited by connection speed, we strongly recommend the use of a broadband connection due the large volume of resources and amount of data being transferred, especially for CAD drawing files.
